if you buy it at the store, your bro should get at $15 mail-in rebate...my parents got that when they picked up my blades.

Valeo, New Design?

I just picked up my Valeos from Aero Car Parts.

They look great! These are apparently hot off the line, direct from the factory. Looks like Valeo made some design changes over the original design as posted. The mount looks like it's been made as compact as possible by splitting the rubber air-foil and sinking the mount into the space, and whatever those metal clips are along the blade are now gone. Very streamlined and extremely well made. Maybe they took the Icon challenge seriously when Bosch copied the Valeos, and decided to stay ahead.

At any rate, considering the crappy CDN Tire Blades are $27 (22") and $23 (18") each (I think), there's really no comparison when you can get the Valeos for $18!

Thanks for the update Gord.
It sounds like they're a great blade.

What's that white stuff on the ground?

Those look far better than the ones I got from TireRack. I'm eager to hear the review in a couple of months. Price?

You'll never look at wipers the same - it's a sick disease you've just aquired - but you'll be safe in the rain/snow

We basically had no snow for the entire winter, and then....big dump of about 10-15 cm last week. Yesterday, a freak storm just outside of Edmonton ( 2 of the nearby communities where many commute in to town to work), got hit with 20 cm. One of my collegues said that some couldn't get out of their driveways, and the storm cut-off was so abrupt on the highway into the city, it was like a curtain! Edmonton, just a few km away, didn't get any snow at all!

Of course, this is nothing compared to what you Maritimers keep getting! At least I got the chance to break out the snow-blower this year.

Rick is selling them to forum members for $18 +GST and shipping! (as per my first post ) Get them while you can, as some of the other car clubs have been buying up a lot of what he got in when they found a local source for them!

Thanks for the info, Gordgee. I've got the Icons, so I'm fine but was just curious as to price. This thread's been going on forever - it's like a 3 hour movie, where you forget what happened in the first 1/2 hour...
