You're (all) right. I had the same missing bit of wipe on the return as everyone else had. Not that bad though, unless you're obessive. The passenger side, though the Valeos miss a slight bit at the end of the stroke, was much better than my pricey winter blades did. I started with that one, and did a gentle curve starting about 2-4" from the end. Worked like a charm in about 3 minutes.

I stopped the driver's blade (turned off the key) at about the point where the 'miss' happens. Sure enough, there is just a slight crack of a gap at the mount for a few inches.

With the driver's blade, I started at the mount, and tried to make a gentle curve past the mount for about 4 or 5 ". It took me a few tries while being careful that I didn't permanently screw up my blades ( I found that the missed wipe only missed a few drops, about where the passenger blade starts it's return and it was below my normal line of sight, so it wasn't that bothersome. Maybe it's the Rain-X on the windshield?). Took about 7 or 8 minutes to complete the adjustment.

The wipe is absolutely flawless now! In the light rain/fluffy snow, the glass looked almost invisible between wipes.

Huh! Tune-able blades. Who'da thunk! So far, I love these blades.

I just find it weird when you lift the driver's blade from the windshield, as it flexes and hits the arm of the other wiper. The first time I lifted it, it splashed a few drops of windshield fluid on the hood.

I just drove my son over to his friend's house. Maybe it's my imagination, but I don't remember any blade ever giving me a clearer, streak-free windshield before!

And it's amazingly quiet and smooth! Seems that the rubber coating and spoiler damps some of the minimal noise that my other wipers made. I'd imagine that if chattering wipers was a problem, these things would help or eliminate the problem (I didn't have the chattering wiper issue that some have had).

On checking my new Civic today, I was delighted to see what I think are Valeos on it too. Once I get them off for a closer inspection, I'll know for sure.

Spent 15 minutes playing with the curve of the blades today... in the rain of course -- was able to get the blades to contact fairly well throughout the whole wipe.

I think my neighbour thinks I'm obsessive... my wife... she just leaves me alone

 

Played with the blades for 5 min @ work.
Much better contact... misted the windows & they work great.

After what CK, Ian, and Gord posted about adjustments and 'tuning' the blades, I'd say these babies should perform very well.

Only issue is gettting the OEM's off and the Valeos on in their place.
Some are very tight to get off and back on. (one of mine was too)

I should have parked my d/side blade vertical to make getting it off easier, but I didn't, and it was tough going.

At our mini meet in Guelph today, Ian, Wayne and I missed having you for dinner, Deane.
If you make it in May, we'll be sure to make up for today.

Yeah, I just got the Valeos on my G as well. Wow, talk about a tight fit!

Took about 5 minutes to adjust, and as expected, work great.

I like the new mount on the Valeos. Kind of the 'minimalist' approach.

I actually had no trouble getting them off or on at all. I have not adjusted them yet as I'm waiting for some rain soon to try 'em out. Will be one the few times the G sees the wet stuff.

Hey would have loved having another lunch with you guys too. I'll take a rain check for on the mini meet as you know the May thing is not going to work out this spring. Hopefully we can figure something out for the summer. It's our turn to come out there since you folks made it this way last year.

A quick update:

The Valeos on my coupe are incredible. I was fortunate enough not to have to do any adjustments at all. No missed spots or residue at all and they've had a good workout the past number of days.

Had them on for about 3 weeks now....

Had a long weekend trip.. T-Dot to Lennoxville ,PQ (~1400 km round trip)
It rained off & on almost the entire time.
The Valeo's did a great job of not only clearing the rain, but cleaning the glass as well.
Action is very smooth with NO chattering in light mist conditions.

Definitely the best blades I have ever had

 

I've had them on for two weeks now and I have to agree. Absolutley silent and perfect glass cleaning. I hope they stay that way for a while.
