Long story short, I did a presentation last week under a great deal of pressure and screwed up a couple of times. I'm not one to buckle under pressure, but this was the biggest deal for me so far. Anyway, I just got this video from my wife and I wanted to share it with all of you.

Chico, I am sure you did well, you probably kicked butt! I had to do a presentation last year for work as well and it was in front of almost 200 people. Now, I am not one for public speaking in any way so I was VERY nervous. I was speaking on a topic that I knew inside and out.....but it didn't matter, I was still scared sh!tless! Anyways, about 5 minutes before I was to do my presentation, I had to run to the bathroom and throw up. I am sure that I was ghostly white when I got in front of everyone....but I managed to get through it and did pretty good.

Now, I try and put myself in that situation as much as I can. I figure living outside of my comfort zone everyday is a good way to learn and develop.

That's a good one Shane. I agree with the comfort zone comment. I had to do some of that (public speaking) in my previous career at large client functions and entire company addresses and never enjoyed it much either. Can't say I was ever sick but butterflies some before and during though. It always worked out okay though.

LMAO ...I came close AFTER my presentation. Part of my problem is that I'm a perfertionist, especially when it comes to my professional life. I keep raising the expectations bar for everyone and even higher for me. Thanks for sharing.
