I was so mad I did not get to the meet today. Last night I was in Toronto at a friends barbeque in North York parked on the side of the street. Came home late last night and noticed that someone had hit the side of my G - left rear Q panel. Looks like someone possibly from across the street backed into me. I was so mad that I did not get to the meet today. Tomorow I have to go back to Toronto to make a police report and then talk to Insurance and what a hassle since I will be leaving for Portland for a week on Tuesday. Also will drive back to the street to see if I can spot a white colour car with some red paint on their bumper.

Ouch, I feel your pain bro.
The shop will fix her up good as new. Good luck with finding the white car-- if you do find it, don't lose your temper with him(her) lol.

i am so sorry to hear that man....i can't believe they didn't leave a note, what a friggin a$$hole.

if it makes you feel any better, i still don't have my car back, don't expect it back for another 1 month, which will total 4 months since the car got into the accident. Basically the gist of the situation is that the body shop in newmarket botched up the car so much that it had to go to another shop (which I can't name...you'll find out in a minute). turns out the work is so bad that they have to do it all over again at the new place. he used 'used' parts on my car (eg.. the bumper was not new, it was a repaired bumper, actually i replaced the bumper due to a fender bender 2 weeks before i was rear ended, this body guy kept the old bumper, fixed it, put it back on my car and charged the insurance company for a new one!!) also, the left side of the car was put together 1/4 inch too low, the right side 1/4 inch too high, when he realized this, he forced the right side down with a clamp, held it in place and welded it together, the fender is now buckling under the pressure. the rear seat is being replaced because he burned the first one. the list goes on....

anyway the insurance company is being very cool and is taking care of the repairs. they have not paid the newmarket body shop, and now this guy is trying to seize my car. my insurance adjuster told me not to tell him where the car is, and that they may need to hide the car for a couple of days until the heat dies down. crazy stuff

i just want my car back.

03 Silverstone 5AT G35C Performance

 

I KNOW OF AN EXCELLENT AUTO BODY IN CONCORD OR MAPLE AREA I BELIEVE AT 16TH AND JANE AREA CALLED GIBSON VANDER. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THERES NO ONE ELSE IN TO THAT IS AN ARTIST LIKE HIM. HIS WORK IS EXCELLENT AND YOU'LL BE AMAZED ONCE U GET THE CAR BACK! IT WILL BE LIKE NEW, AND IM SERIOUS!

 

I got an estimate and found out that it cost over $3000 for the damage. They have to replace the whole left rear quarter panel plus refinish the wheel because it was also scratched. They also have to do a 4 wheel alignment since the wheel was hit as well.

It is now in the body shop at 401-Dixie where I purchased the car. Apparently this is the one that Infiniti uses to do any repairs on new cars as well. Hopefully it will be good as new in a couple of weeks. However, I still have to pay the deductible of $500 even though it was not my fault unless we can catch the b**tard that did this.
