Re: Squeaky brakes...
I just got me 04' 6mt last night (<100km so far), and do notice the noise now and then. Through my brief experimentation, if I used the engine braking to slow the car down and touch the brake pedal lightly, it would squeak loudly, but not a beep during normal braking.

Re: Squeaky brakes...
hi i've been an apprentice mechanic
so im not fully a mechanic but im almost there so i know a lot of stuff that a normal driver wouldnt.. but anyways.. til where i understand.. if the squeaking happens at low speed its only a matter of brake pads.. they r probably made of comparatively harder braking material, nothing to worry about, its normal!
i personally havent had a chance yet to take off those wheels and check out the brakes.. but when i do, i'll fill u in on the brake pads!

Hmmmm......Red 6MT - Nice Choice! Mine is only a week old. Grinning from ear to ear - nice replacement for my 91 300zx which was also Red.
I get the brake squeal at low speeds as well - I agree with the "lovemyg35" post - high performance brakes with hard pads = a bit of brake squeal

Re: Squeaky brakes...
I've had this problem with my old cars.
What the dealer told me was the brake pad dust burning off
Just take a power hose and power wash the inside wheel where the brake pad is that should solve the problem
