Actually an old friend of mine knows the manager of a local Nissan dealership, so I'm looking at the 350Z -- seems appropriate since my first car was a 1972 240Z... like going full circle.
Fortunately many of the cosmetics I put into my G35 will go on the 350Z.

Hope to make a decision before summer comes -- the $ will be the deciding factor as I've already been given a budget by my financial director (aka...wife)

PS... my friend was just overcome by spring fever -- just took delivery of a 2006 Dodge Charger 3.5L.

haha, come join the dark side and get the 350z too bad the GTA Z community isn't as tightly knit as the G35er's though...

Can't say I'm overly impressed with the 3.5L version of the Charger. It is a nice highway cruising car and rides very smooth... but when stepped on, it lacks the punch that our 3.5L 's have. Interior finish was as plastic looking as the new Mustang GT's are. The door arm rests were hard plastic and the top dash was huge. The stereo has a direct AUX plug-in on the front for MP3/iPod's - nice feature.

I never said I was a fan of American cars :P but without really looking, I can imagine the lack of power that the charger would have. The thing probrably weighs a ton too. Americans makes more power by added more L to the engine :P

The Top Gear made a similar joke with the Viper SRT 10... something in the lines of "Give an Italian the same size engine, and they'll put out a hell of a lot more horses than the Americans can".
