I might come out just for the fun of it, but since Kevin is doing my car this week, I should be looking pretty good by then.

I'll post a thread with before/afters in the detailing forum after I have a beer. It was a pleasure meeting you Erik.

RE: PC training day, looks like it'll be the 6th or 7th. We'll decide shortly.

I was just looking through some of my old pics...this track pic could qualify as a detailing pic.

Beeeeeeeaaaaaaaautiful shine Kevin. I think I can see my reflection as I gaze upon it. Black certainly is the colour.
Balzz, that is quite an eyeful as well .

That's eledins car, I hopped on down to Stoney Creek to give it a once over today. Let me tell you, he's got it setup amazingly - very tasteful mods, looks super clean. The drop is perfect, the wheels are gorgeous on the car (just the right amount of lip and spoke), and the exhaust - well ya, looks good, sounds better. Here are a few more of his wheels.

awesome job picus! I'm going to have to get you detail my Z sometime!

I was wondering, would having you detail the car remove the zaino i've put on my car so far (ie, i have to start over)?

Well it depends on what I'd be doing. A wash won't remove it, but any claying or polishing will. I do have Zaino in my arsenal if you prefer'd it re-applied, of course.

Actually Zaino topped with OCW is what's in those pics above.

cool, i'm seeing swirls, but in certain angles my car can shine like eledin's...i don't know if i'm being over **** about the swirls...i'll probrably want you to have a look at it sometime in the summer and have you give me a recommendation

here's a comparison shot pre and post zaino:

before:

after:

I'm not 100% how much the camera and less sun light is hiding...even when i look at it in person, it's hard to tell sometimes..

Ya, Z5 has a lot of fillers, but even so you'll probably see some swirling in the sun. I like fillers for in between polishes just because black's so hard to maintain, but I'd still recommend getting a good solid polish at least once a year to remove most of the marring. What you want in the end are full on sun shots with no swirls ala:

And of course I'm always happy to look at it and give recommendations!

thanks picus! Somewhat on topic, what microfibre towel would you recommend for use on our cars? Would the crappy tire simonz microfibre towels be good enough? Or is there something better that we should get?
