Oh ya, I approve. Nicely done, Peter. How was the marring, not too bad? I know you're a very meticulous washer.

Pro-tip for ya (): Wheel wells. When washing, spray some diluted all purpose cleaner in them, let it dwell for ~15-30 seconds then wipe with a rag or brush. Later, when you dress the wheels, spray some Armor All up in there. Keeps them nice and black for a few days.

Well, I've just dropped off my G with Kevin and am currently sitting at the Starbucks down the road (it's 11am). I've only had my 2005 G since Aug of 05, and it's only ever had the automated car washes (I know, I know...) and it's black (brother, do I know!!!), oh, and it's got 76,000 hwy kms on the clock...

I even took my car through the automated wash before getting there LOL!!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the Sens winning this afternoon (poor Kevin has to work on my car then - I'll be at Gabby's...) and I'm positive that the results are going to look absolutely killer by the time that he's done. I know he'll easily surpass my expectations with my car, just as he had with J's Lincoln LS last year.

Oh, and here's a pic, just to prove he doesn't take the car to a local detailer while I'm wandering the streets, LOL!!

PS, I swear his lamp adds scratches... hehehe!!

Haha, I look like such a troll in that picture. No wonder kids run from me.

Here are a few before/afters for you guys to chew on while I re-size the rest.

Half and half, can you tell which is done?

My god Kevin, your work never ceases to amaze me. Truly amazing before and after pictures. I am sure Akrus was one happy camper when he got his G back.

I spent all afternoon detailing my first customer's Porsche. I've got the sealant curing overnight and will be applying a coat of Natty Blue tomorrow morning. Btw, I absolutely LOVE the 0106FF! I thought the SSR products were really good, but this Menzerna polish is definitely a big step up IMO.

Amazing what a difference a pro product makes over an enthusiast one, eh? Poorboys stuff is good because it's very easy to use, but it has a sort of ceiling in terms of results. 106FF can be tricky to use, but I can almost promise you you won't find a better finishing polish.

How did the Porsche go btw? Which sealant did you use?

Yeah, I realized today the difference between a good polish and a great polish. I've never had anything to compare the SSR products to until today. Detailing the Porsche today went quite well. It rained all day, but just did everything inside the garage. I was debating on whether I should use the EX-P or the Z5, but I opted for the Z5 in the end since I remember you saying you liked it on darker colors. I'll post up some pics tomorrow after a get a coat of Natty Blue on.

Kevin,

Do you know of anyone who does quality work like yours in the Vancouver (BC) area?

This is a great thread with lots of information and pictures. You are truly a master detailer. With all this information, I'm tempted to try it out on my '07 G35x (Obsidian Black). I've only had it for a short time, but, have recently noticed swirl marks (possibly from the dealer).

Thanks again for the great work you did, Kevin! But, you know my luck... it rained over night... you're going to honour some sort of rain guarantee, aren't ya'?? LOL!

When i got out to the car this morning, I didn't even want to move it - the rain having left loads of beads all over the surface of the G, just looked sooo nice. Oh well, had to get to work somehow.

As everyone is aware, Kevin does excellent work and I (along with the rest of the world...) highly recommend him.

Kevin, I've got a friend that has a Noble (http://www.akrus.ca/Site/Brampton%20Golf%20Club.html - scroll to bottom of page) and is very interested in a visit by you. I'll pass on your info soon.

Oh, also want to thank you for the extra work you did beyond what we initially discussed - you're a stand up guy!

Yeah, so true. The backdrop in most pics doesn't do justice to the car though.

Oh, forgot to add one thing, Kevin:

I know a guy that does great detail work, if you ever decide to get the 335 done

Hey Kevin
Empty your mailbox, I can't send any PMs to you. Shoot me a PM when it's emptied so I know when I can send you one.
