hi guys, my question is kind of related to the thread.

Im going to quebec this coming thursday, i ve installed my new tires on my stock wheels by firestone dealer,

i wanted to do an alignment however have no time to do it before leaving thursday. i had no major issues so far with my wheels.

Im going to drive close to at least 1800kms , u know how far it is from toronto to quebec city,
am i putting myself into a lot of danger or it will be ok for now but i should get it done as soon as i come back..

thank you in advance for your opinions!

Quite a difference in approach here. Like GEE35x I tend not to get alignments unless problems/changes. Maybe it's a 'Wayne' thing. Let's ask wgmg35!

If all goes well, I'll likely be getting one by summer, though.

I'm with the Wayne's on this one, I don't usually do them "just in case".

I did notice a trace of wear beginning on my fronts during the winter. When I got an alignment this spring - sure enough, it was toed in some. Fricken' potholes.

I just got an alignment today actually at my local nissan stealership.
but I also dropped the car and put on a different size tire. I'd say check it if you're switch tires especially if they have different profiles.
As for Musti82 - I feel for you driving to the land of Frenchies - I drove to downtown montreal a couple times - NEVER again!!! but keep an eye on your tread just in case driving that much right away on new tires should be alright just check them when you stop to smash your head against a brick wall asking yourself why you decided to go to quebec lol

^^^^^A few of us got together and went to Quebec as part of a cruise to the East Coast. In our group there were InTgr8r, RBull, Garnet Canuck, AthensBlueG and my wife and I. We had a riot there. We stayed in the old city for a couple of nights. I would do it again and I am positive the others would also. It's a fun place with lots of character.

i was going to ask you the same thing for alignment, if its not different than vic is charging its easier and cheaper for me to go to a nissan dealership.

as for Quebecois roads, i ve lived in Montreal for 4 years, so i know what you mean. last time i went i just parked my G and walk all the time... u dont wanna smash the front and break the compression rods again

my car is 2003 78K, i got it last year, i dunno if the previous owner did alignment i have to check dozens of service records to see, but i still want to do one..
