Merry Christmas

Just got the stealth case in today.

More info here:
https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/75336-digitalwheelz-stealth-carputer-case.html

Should be priced at $99 for just the case, fan, and all assembly hardware. It still has to be productized and will probably be put up for sale around January 15th on mp3car.com.

Its completely hidden by the trunk floor when installed so the install pics are going to be pretty lame, but them and more information will slowly be forthcoming...

Crap. For $99 I'll give it a shot.... it appears it will not allow for PCI cards to be added to one of the Via boards which such capabilities... am I correct? Not to say that's a downside to the product, just making sure I understand tradeoffs, etc.

It wasn't designed for that. Theres not enough height for even a half height PCI card. If you get a reverse PCI riser card, it should fit though, you'll have to find a way to secure the pci card...velcro would probably work well.

System looks sweet. How is it going to integrate satellite radio?
Would bluetooth enabled phones be able to work through the system (see who is calling on the screen, etc.), or would that depend on the phone?

StreetDeck will support XM. You'll need a special cable and an XM direct box in addition to the main unit. <$100 as an option. The hardware can easily hide out of the way on the sides of the spare tire.

The software supports bluetooth and will show calls on the screen as well as integrate a phonebook, but it will only work with a proprietary bluetooth adaptor that should be available in the coming months.

Not at the release, eventually though... Within 6 months probably.

It all looks pretty tightly wired. How hard would it be to get the spare tire out without accidentally ripping out wires?

wouldnt it be too hot under there? i understand the metal can work as a heatsink, absorbing heat.. but the cover over the spare would make it so that the car has no volume to breath in

It's designed for a low power chip. Either one of the integrated Via type, or a Pentium M, which both have pretty low thermal output. Heck, the heat sink on my P-M 2.26, the fastest P-M you can buy, is a dinky little one, with a fan you would normally find on a northbridge, and it generally heats up at most to about 110 farenheit.
