UbiquityV is now sold under the StreetDeck name. http://www.streetdeck.com/

The G35 edition should be released very soon. Within a month.

Ok I just shat myself.

One thing (I have found the answers to all the others so far now):

3.) Does streetdeck support 840x400 or whatever that bizzare native resolution for the Xenarcs?

I also have a one question. will the streetdeck be able to connect to multiply screens? ex: controlling the screen in the front at the same time have it connected to screens on the headrests for the ppl in the back watching a movie or something without stopping the movie?

The streetdeck is a computer. Can you do what you are asking on a normal desktop computer? Are you asking for all screens to display the same thing, or the front screen showing one thing and the rear screens showing something else?

I guess this is possible but it won't be intuitive as far as control & user interface. I take it you have a coupe? Do you have factory navigation or anything else important in your upper glovebox?

My recommendation to do what you are talking about is to install a DVD player in the upper glovebox. This does not replace a streetdeck, but adds to the streetdeck. With a dvd player in the upper glovebox you could:

Have a DVD playing on the screens in the headrests and on your front screen. Then you could also switch the input on the front screen (using the remote that come's with the screen) over to your streetdeck, so the backseat is watching one thing while your front screen is viewing/interfacing with the streetdeck.

You could also have whatever the street deck is displaying to the front screen also display to the rear screens (by changing their inputs with the remote).

Making the street deck display two different pictures and having one screen control what is being shown on the other will be very difficult, as would be with any computer setup. You would have to install a PCI video card and setup some sort of software control mechanism on "screen 1" for controlling the software video player showing the video on "screen 2".

This is probably real confusing but what you're trying to do is rather confusing and difficult by itself.

PM me if you would like to hear my suggestion further.

Thanks alot amthar!! and external dvd might be best since the DW screen has 3 inputs (1vga & 2 a/v). so comp will use the vga and reverse cam will use 1st a/v and then the dvd can use the dvd player the 2nd a/v. thats works fine for me then!! ok now thats clear i have a q about headrest screens, can they come with multiple input?

plus god i can wait for this g35 bundle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you tie the reverse camera to the 2nd video line and tie the power to the reverse camera to the reverse light circuit, then the screen can automatically switch to reverse video (from PC video) whenever line 2 goes active (ie you go into reverse).

RE: streetdeck, you might want to check out the forum links at www.streetdeck.com...

Not currently, this is a planned future feature. It adds alot of installation and usability issues we haven't dealt with yet, but weve had a lot of interest in it, so it will eventually be possible.
