Get a porter cable, it is well worth the extra money.

If you're going to get one of those off of Ebay, you might want to try your local Shucks, Autozone, G. I. Joes, or whatever is near you. They go for about $20 at those places. That's what I got mine for.

They work fine for the money. I've used em on quite a few cars and they work fine. Not the best, but nothing wrong with em at all.

Yea, the Porter Cable 7424 is probably a good long term solution. The machine is super durable and produces great results.

If your budget is tight, why not just wax by hand and save the money for a porter cable later. Those orbital "polishers" don't help at all, except for apply/removing wax, which most people do by hand anyways, including pros. Porter cables are usually used for swirl removal, which those orbitals won't do anyways

That's what I was going to do, but for $20 couldnt pass it up. Saves too much time, and I dont have a lot of that.

Almost no risk. I suppose if you stand on it while applying the wax it might do damage

One thing I've noticed that these machines put the wax on thin so it's alot easier to take off by hand.

Let the machine do the work, dont push down on it. It wont hurt your paint at all.
