Wheel cleaner

What is the best way to clean wheels? In the past I have always used a brush with the spray on cleaner. Is this too harsh to do on a regular basis? I just have the stock 17" wheels on my G. Thanks.

Non-acid based cleaners are fine on a regular basis. There are a number of good ones. That said it might be beneficial to try some wheel sealant on your wheels which would allow you to clean them more easily in the future (I use soap and water on mine). Poorboys makes an excellent wheel sealant that is available online for under $20.00.

The only thing I would add to the wheel sealant comment is that a light polish prior to the sealant appears to help the adhesion. I use Klasse AIO prior to applying the wheel sealant and have had great results. I also put on a few coats just to get 100% coverage.

As far as an actualy cleaner, I use a spray bottle with water and a wet microfiber and don't usually need much else.

I put on Wheel Wax, and my wheels have stayed much cleaner with it.
Also, dirt washes off easier too. Noticeable improvement.
