Thin Paint & Clay Bar

I just used Clay Bar for the first time on my daily beater (97 Camry) and the paint looks like showroom quality--and it's smoothe as silk. But I wonder if using Clay Bar on my G53 coupe is a good idea given how thin the paint is.

Any experiences with this??
