I'm wondering if the material on the door panels is truly leather or pleather? Also, is the steering wheel leather protected by some plastic film? The reason I'm asking is I'm wondering what is the best way to clean these surfaces - plastic cleaner or leather cleaner.

 

Almost all leather is protected by a plastic film; that said you should still clean it with a leather cleaner. I use leather cleaners or all purpose interior cleaners on the door panels and steering wheel.

 

The door panels are pleather/vinyl.

Or they are really, really, really bad leather.
