Leather cleaning/conditioning (again)

I've been reading the posts on this subject and it seems like Lexol is the most popular choice. If I recall though, this stuff smells kinda funny. I don't want to ruin the new-car smell I have and would like to know if everyone that uses this stuff noticed any change in this regard. I've seen (in the past) some cleaners and conditioners that actually smell like leather, but can't remember which ones those are. I just want to find something in the store; don't want to order something (like Zaino) online. Thanks.

Lexol should be applied very sparingly! Do not use too much. As Brylcream use to say, I little dab will do ya!

How are you guys applying lexol?
Following the instructions on the conditioner bottle, I've given a cloth a spray or two and tried to spread that on the leather. But that covers SO little; it feels like the whole car will take a LOT of conditioner... am I doing something wrong?

My lexol is in a spray bottle. I spray a little right on to the seat and massage it in. I don't wipe it off. I let it sit on there for a while and then buff it off witha dry towel. This allows the conditioner to soak in a bit.

Re: Leather cleaning/conditioning (again)

Thanks, guys. I've decided I'm going to use the Lexol cleaner, but I'm going to use Pinnacle's leather conditioner (actually has a leather smell to it and the salesperson at this store told me great things about it, just the things I wanted to hear, w/out me even asking him); I'll let you know how it goes.
