So the dealership f*cked up my rims....!
I had my car serviced at the dealership last week (in which case the washed it after they were done) and while I was washing my car today, I noticed this stain on every wheel. It looks like it was draining from the wash and settled on the bottom of my wheel. They should be responsible for my wheels correct? Here are a few pics:
here in the last one you can see a rainbow discoloration that's on all the wheels as well:
what should i do?
thanx for the help,
chris

Why...........let the stealership wash your car?
All you have to do is look at the cars that leave the
dealership after they have been washed by some
low life jackass. When you leave your G with the
service writer you must let them know you do not
want it washed..............I "always" make that very
clear! Last time I didn't my Z was in the shop for
at least four days and I thought why not. They
washed it with dirty water and locked the keys inside.
I had to drive across town to get my second set of
keys and wasted my time because they couldn't get
my car open.....another fun day at the stealership.

Well, the bad part is, you waited a week to notify the dealer of your problem.
You would have been better off if you told them sooner, because now they can say maybe you caused the problem.
I had a similar problem: the dealer replaced one of my tire pressure sensors,
and marked the wheel while tightening the valve stem. I called them the next day to complain. They set me up with a loaner, and told me to come in and see the service mgr. The guy was very nice, agreed they did the damage and replaced the wheel for me with a brand new one.
Good luck with your situation.

They are entitled to make it right.
I have a customer with a BMW. He has 19's with an uncoated lip (as above) and had the same problem (staining, rainbowing). The 'detail guy' thought he was hot **** when my customer was asking...
"What did you use to clean my wheels?"
"Ha, this heavy duty industrial wheel cleaner that only pros get"
"Yeah, well you fvcked them up and I want them fixed for free"
Turns out they paid their partnering detail shop to fix them, but I was going to do them, and bill BMW. Either way, they should cover it.
