I use the waterblade if I'm 100% sure there's no residue on the car, and then only on the hood and trunk. the doors are pretty easy, as the water sheets off anyway. I use microfiber towels for the rest, and a leaf-blower to get the cracks dry.
I also apply CG by going panel-by-panel, post wash, so I don't mind some minor spotting immediately after the wash, as I'm going to re-wet the panel with a spray bottle anyway.

I use Microfiber Waffle Weave towels.. these are the best hands down....Microfiber Waffle-Weave technology, can safely dry an entire car. This towel absorbs so much, you won't believe your eyes.

I use my Torro leaf blower to dry the entire car. Looks like
glass when finished, plus no swirl marks or scratches!

Re: what do you guys use to dry ur car off with?
I just used a leafblowed on out '96 cherry red F150. Nada. Didn't even push the water. The thing's never seen a coat of wax and has always sat outside by our stables... it's only been to horse shows and ploughed through snow. Something tells me the paint was yelling "No! Wait! We LIKE the cleanliness! Don't blow it off!" and gripped onto it. But I showed it... I detailed it completely, and threw on detailing wax. Now water won't stay on if it's magnetic In this truck's case, I used an old towel. Hell, I don't care how it looks, and the paint on those cars won't scratch if you bang it with a sledgehammer.
For the G? Microfiber. Use the cali water blade if you want, and if it's debris-free, but microfiber is just da bomb. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Microfiber.

Re: what do you guys use to dry ur car off with?
ok so let me get this straight, first i water down the car, and then wash the car with a sponge, and then i dry it with a microfiber towel, right? and I wash and dry it in a non circular motion, so i guess i do it straight?
and do i start from top to bottom (roof to bumper)? and I do it in sections? like each panel at a time?
I just got my car las thursday, its a black coupe, and its starting to get dirty already, i plan on washing it today, i know its only been like 3-4 days, but i want my baby looking clean , i don't need to wax it right, just wash since it's already waxed from the dealer when i bought it, should i wait to wax and just wash the car, or should i dawn it down and rewax it with meguiars gold class wax?

I would personally recommend Dawning it, then using Zaino or CG on it right away, but Meguire's will definitely work in the meantime. Congrats on getting your coupe, man-- when do we get to see some pics?

Re: what do you guys use to dry ur car off with?
thanks geobau, i will try to get some pics up asap, hehe i been trying to get all my cleaning gear stuff ready for my new baby, microfiber cloths, clear floormats, california duster, spill green, spray bottles, etc...
Does the california blade work good? is it better than using a chamois or microfiber cloth?
And when you apply wax, what do you use to apply it with? and do you go in straight motions and not circular?
