Leather Seat Maintenance

I need help! Someone wrote awhile back how he accidentally left a stain on his leather seat when he sat on it with brand new denim pants. He said that it left a stain on the seat and was asking how he can get it out. I have the same problem on my willow leather seat, who ever wrote this did you get it out? Does anybody have a solution for this? Need help!!!

Brand new denim? Wow. Guess I'm glad my jeans are faded...

Have you tried rubbing alcohol? Lexol? Eagle One leather cleaner (CLEANER-- not conditioner)? These are my Three Muskateers of leather cleaning. If one fails, another will surely help.

Before you do anything else, rub gently with a mildly soapy warm water. After drying, try one of the three products mentioned above-- a little elbow grease will take out most problems. Goo Gone is also EXCELLENT at getting stains out with a stiff nail-brush, but that's my go-to if all else fails. Good luck!

Oh, I never thought of rubbing alcohol, it doesn't dry out the leather, does it? Some RA dries your skin when you use it!

Re: Leather Seat Maintenance

Thanks for the advice! Used alcohol and it worked but have to be very careful as it takes some of the color off the leather if too much. Rubbed it very lightly and it cleared it, then used the conditioner to even the color out. Not perfect but better than it was before. Hopefully as time passes the color evens out.
