Confused :( Winter coming soon

hello,
after reading the forum for the past 5h, i manage to stay up till 2am, at 8 i got to be at work for 10h.... but anyway im confused on what to get to give my babe the best protection for winter, its our first winter together so u know how it is
i been washing and waxing almost every single week, but now reading up on the topic it seems like i never did a really good job

many options out there some prefer zaino some klasse some other brands, im looking for some expert opinions on what to get
i was thinking either going with zaino or meguiars (edit read on autopia that Collinite 845 is also good for winter)

1st dawn
2nd clay bar....
and here it ends.

P.S. caly it before or after winter or both ?
thx for your help,

Adrian: For me, I enjoy the look/protection of 3-6 layers of Zaino.

I will polish with Z-PC (their polish) and then mix up Z5 Pro with the ZFX catalyst and put a layer on, take it off, until I get to three layers.

After the 24 hour cure time, I would do the same with Z2 Pro til I get to six total.

The very good thing about Collonite 845 is that it's a heavy wax and does some filling. During winter, you are bound to induce some marring/swirling and if you do a "refresher" coat every 2 months or so, during the winter, you are set.

So your process should look like (IMO),

-Wash
-Clay
-Polish
-Seal (x 3, then wait 24)
-Seal (x 3, then wait 24)
-Wax (whenever you feel like it)

A standard consumer should look to put in about 5-6 hours for this entire process. IMO, it beats having a nasty finish. Did I mention a sealed surface is about 10x easier to wash and dry ?

Oh, and yes, you should clay before and after winter.

For the winter (not much of one here in Atlanta) I swap the daily drivers back to Zaino. 3 coats and then 1 month later I typically add one layer. Z2 Pro on the ligh colored cars, Z5 Pro on the draker cars. I have had great results with the Zaino through the winter. With the exception of one car, I use non-Zaino products in the other seasons.
