can i use windex to clean the outside of my windows, or do i need to get a special window cleaner for my g35c> some have ammonia some don't, which one is the best for the car? and will it strip away any wax or rain-x coating that i previously have on there?

 

I would recomend NON-Amonia. Amonia can damage the clear coat/paint. And for the the interior, it can stain the dash, and even make it easier for the windows to fog up.
Ditch Windex, and go with Stoner's Invisble glass (works the best)

Also, my window tinter said to use only non-ammonia based cleaners on tinted windows (just in case you have tint).

thanks a lot guys, does walmart carry that Stoners Invisible Glass cleaner? if so i'll get some from there... but will that strip away the rain-x/wax layer thats on my window?

 

I use stoners.. It's alright, but I don't use inside my car cause of the tint. For the inside, I use my micro-fiber towel and a small amount of water. It seem to do an okay job. I suck at cleaning windows, and I still do. I have not found a magic product that will clean my windows in one shot. Maybe except for window wax, but I haven't seen that product for awhile.
