Cloud someone tell how to clean these pad after using them? Is it safe to use a mild detergent or liguid soap?

They make special cleaners for pads which work pretty well. I, myself, do not typically use them.

I have found that soaking the pads in a woolite or similar soap mix in a bucket and then drying them out on the rotary works well. For tougher things, I use a spray or two of APC and then soak them. This has not appeared to reduce the life of my pads to any noticeable degree.

Snappy Clean Pad Cleaners work great for me. Just add the solution to water and let the pads sit for 15 minutes, rinse them out and let'em dry.

I put mine in the wash with my Microfiber Towels.


Hot Wash - little bit of detergent, cup of white vinegar, cup of white vinegar in downy ball, extra rinse

on autopia.org they recommended just washing out well with dishwashing soap. i did it just the other day and worked great. got EVERYTHING off and they look brand new.

I wash mine with original Dawn Soap. Scrubbed it until most of of the cleaner came out, then left it in a bucket overnight with dawn again. Next day, it's just like I nevered used the pads.

If using conventional soaps for cleaning I think there is a possibility small soap traces may affect your polished surfaces. There are perfumes and other additives in detergents.
It seems it might be better to soak them (pads and MF towels) in a concentrated car wash detergent (the kind that does not strip wax) solution. Rinse them. Then put them in the washer with no detergent on the warm water cycle. Let air dry.
