Re: CG just arrived in mail

just remember to stip wax from car with dawn. I did not and i wasted some CG at first.

Get a car wash that does not have wax in it to wash your car from now on.

I use the CG wash but sometimes there is so much stuff on the car I like to wash it with some suds.

I use cg quick about twice a month and have gotten it down to using very little and the finish is great.

Do a search as there is alot of info available on thsi

Have a healthy day!

Re: CG just arrived in mail

i've read some posts but didnt' know about the car wash stuff with wax.

will save the zip wax wash for daily driver.

Coupe is one month old, 300 miles and garage kept. don't drive in rain or when ground is wet. twice per month would clearly be overkill for me.

do i apply CG in sun, shade or doesn't matter

in the shade or garage

I dry the car using a leaf blower then pull in the garage

I use a spray bottle with distilled water to mist the panel the pray CGQ

I spread then move on to another panel

After awhile I go back to the frist panel and buff out using a damp microfiber cloth

Car always comes out great!

Re: CG just arrived in mail

one fellow said, do one panel, move to next, then wipe first panel.

you said do one, move on, go back in half hour.

does it make any difference.

also, the wipe off towel, damp or dry. or either way it gets damp

Re: CG just arrived in mail

the modifed version states to let it dry to a haze

use a damp (not wringing wet) microfiber cloth to buff out. This helps remove the spotting easier and you do not need to buff too hard.

Since I do it in my garage out of the sun I usually do the whole car then work the same way back with the buffing.

If you are out in the sun then it dries quicker and going back sooner will be required you will have to judge just look to see if it hazes over then go back to buff out.

Have a healthy day!
