removing wax with vinegar?
removing wax with vinegar?
has anyone tried this method? I know vinegar has numerous cleaning properties...just wondering if it's more effective than Dawn in removing old wax.
thanks

hmm, i never thought of that. i guess you can try using diluted vinegar since people use that to clean their floors and it does leave a nice shine. but i'd be reluctant to use vinegar on my car paint, especially since it is also known as aqueous acetic acid.

Re: removing wax with vinegar?
I would not use vinegar, I had left a bottle of vinegar on my garage floor, had a slow leak, ate into the concrete! I used to use vinegar to remove water spots on the windows, but didn't work if they were on there for a while, our water is extremely hard here! I don't get the Dawn thing, I have used that on my cars for some time, and it doesn't seem to remove the wax, maybe if it's not diluted much it will, I had more trouble with a liquid car wash I tried sometime back, removing the wax
