clear plastic located in front of rear tire?
i pulled the coupe ("Michelle" ) into my carport a little too close and luckily only scraped the top plastic piece (factory clear-bra) located by the front of the rear tire. I wiped off most of the paint, but the indentation in the plastic is still slightly visible.
Is there anything I can do besides purchasing a new set? If not, anybody know how much these cost and where to get them?
Thanks

i guess i am still confused... seems to me like there is a dent on the body panel!
Talk to your parts department at your dealership, or even Grubbs infiniti (infinitiwholesaleparts.com) and ask them if they can find you the Part# and just order the plastic pieces for you. Then you will need to apply them on just like you would Tint or Clearbra (its not that tough, most tint places will probably do it for you)

I don't think your Clear Bra is from the factory, it's more likely a dealer installed option, as mine was, they put them on every car that comes in!

damn it rambo...
you're right. though the plastic is still slightly scuffed up, the rear quarter panel also has a slight ding. it is not very noticeable, but is very bothersome.
the plastic piece can be purchased for $14.00. this is the price for only one side of the car.
you can't see the ding unless you know what you are looking for. i've spent the last hour just staring at the damn thing.

studly: Yup all coupes have it, its factory installed, NOT a dealer option as ABQ says, he is wrong. That area is prone to rock chips and Nissan R&D decided to apply this easy fix.
drsifu: I am going into my garage to check mine out and ill let you know if you can fix it yourself

Oh, I thought he was referring to a "clear bra" type of thing! Duh, it does say "rear tire"!

heh no prob....
ok i am back from examining the area, it seems like it would be best to get a ding-repair guy to take a look at it, they usually charge $50 to fix it :-/
Depending on where the ding is exactly, they may have to drill into the side inorder to get at the opposide side of the ding to "pop" it out back into shape.
