Help, what did I do wrong?

Last Week I took some time to detail my 2 month old black coupe using the following procedures:
1) washed with Dawn to strip any wax using a chenele sponge and microfiber towel to remove water, 2)Pinnacle clay bar with mist and microfiber toweled off, 3)Pinnacle paintwork cleasing lotion on a microfiber applicator and microfiber toweled off immediately when finished a 2 square foot section, 4)3M Hand Glaze with a microfiber applicator and removed with a microfiber towel, and 5)Pinnacle Souveren Paste Wax with sponge applicator and microfiber toweled off. I did not wait for any of the products to haze. I only worked on body panels one at a time. All of the towels and applicators were new and had been washed. I worked in a shaded area with no direct heat or sunlight on the paint surface. I worked the products side to side or up and down, i.e. did not swirl during applications of the products. I thought the car looked great when I was done but the sun was down and couldn't see any marks. The next day, I noticed a haze all over the car in direct sunlight. The surface still feels slick as ice. What did I do wrong?

Take a damp cloth and wipe it on a hazy area, then dry the area. The haze should be gone.

Yeah sometimes some of these products will haze up, meaning there's still some residue left from the application, thats okay though, as he said just wipe it off with a damp towel

Yeah, or try wiping the whole car down w/ some Meguire's Quick Detailer (buff off w/ a dry microfiber cloth, obviously). That always works great for me. BTW, how were the results w/ the Pinnacle wax? I'm curious.

Re: Help, what did I do wrong?

The Pinnacle Wax was easy to apply and looks great. For the price, is it that much better than the next wax? I can't really say that it looks that much better than the next, but who really cares that it is $30 more when a jar lasts ~20-30 coats. The cost per coat is a difference of cents. Every post said it is a great wax so I said why take a chance of messing up my baby.
I think the problem with the haze was that the 3M hand Glaze is tackey and a little difficult to buff off. (Note: you have to use several clean microfiber towels to ensure proper removal).

Overall the car shines like crazy when I can keep it clean, which for a black car is almost never.
