Keeping Black cars clean

i have so far had my infiniti g35 sedan black and its so hard to keep clean. I washed it really well when i first got it and used swirl free wax. It was really clean but if you looked at it in the right light like with the sun you can see some swirls not that bad of swirls but some areas and such

how do you suggest keeping the black car clean and what brand should i use for soaps and wax i just hate those swirls

what steps should i take

Black is such a tough color to keep clean. Nothing looks better than a clean, freshly waxed black car. Unfortunately, that "clean" look will only last about 15 minutes LOL. My old Eclipse was black and I loved how it looked all cleaned up, but I hated the maintenance on the paint (also Mitsu uses worse paint than what's on the G35, so it's extra hard to maintain).

I would recommend starting off by cleaning the car, wash with Dawn to remove wax, etc., claybar to remove any impurities, and coat that sucker with Zaino like crazy.

Zaino is very popular. It doesn't remove them completely but it does hid them very well. If you like the wet look zaino is the way to go. you can go to zainobros.com to order and they also have detailing tips on there also. The process is follow is: Dawn soap wash, clay bar, Zaino soap wash, Z5 and Z2 in layers, usually about 3 each. I follow with meguire's NXT nanowax. it's amazing afterwards. I suggest using zaino and zaino quick detailer to keep it clean. Black is the hardest color to keep clean.

if you want to get rid of the swirls you need to polish the car using a cutting polish. Menzerna makes some great ones check properautocare.com for the info and also autopia.org has some great info on how to do it since it is a lot of explanation. Keeping your black g clean takes some elbow grease but once you get it polished and waxed nothing shines better.

Impossible. After having owned a black car and spending hours detailing it every weekend I am convinced all you need to do to end a drought is detail a black car and then go for a drive. It rained on me withing 30 minutes no matter what the weather report was.

If you go with Zaino, get the ZFX accelerator to go with the Z2 and Z5. It will literally save you hours of time when applying multiple coats.
