Cleaning interior plastic

What do you guys use to clean the interior plastic on the bottom of the doors? Everytime my kids get out of the car they scrape their sneakers on the plastic and leave marks. I've tried a bunch of household type cleaners and have had no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I clean mine with a damp sponge rubbing very hard on the doors to get scuff marks off.

Are you referring to the painted plastic in the door sill area? Or the textured black plastic?

If Painted:
Your best bet will probaly be to remove with a mildly abrasive polish, like Optimum Polish, or an all-in-one like Klasse, or Finish Kare. If you have a Porter Cable it will be lots easier, but you should be able to get rid of it by hand.

If Textured:
The scuffs may actually be scratches, at which point buy new ones. If they are rubber streaks like on gym floors, try the same recommendation as the painted plastics, but by hand only.

Always test a small inconspicuous area first.

Try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It seems to work well.
