Anyone use poorboy's to remove fine scratches?
I have some fine scratches and swirls on the hood. Looks as if the previous owner just used a dry rag to scratch off some bird poop. Will this combo do the trick? http://www.detailedimage.com/store/p...roducts_id=321
Thanks!

The only issue is if you use 2.5 it's going to be hard to remove the micromarring with 1 - G paint is soft, so it is easy to haze it up. I would personally go with Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Polish II. FPII is a much better finishing polish than SSR1, and SSR3 is not something you really want to use with a PC anyway.

Intensive polish is almost as abrasive as SSR2.5; the good thing is it will haze a lot less. The issue with Infiniti's is the paint is soft, so when you polish it's very easy to induce micromarring (also referred to as "haze"), which literally looks like a haze where you've polished (like this: http://gtaindetail.com/pics/audis4062106/a.jpg), you remove that by using a less abrasive polish (in this case SSR1 or FPII), thing is every polish has a sort of "cut to haze ratio". SSR2.5 has a lot of cut, but it will haze a lot, so you'll need to spend a lot of time removing that haze. IP has slightly less cut, but will haze a lot less. The SSR's are good in two cases, in the sun or on very hard paint. Menzerna's polishes are good on any paint, but suck in the sun. So if you have an enclosed area to work I would recommend the Menzernas.
Unless you have significant deep marring IP on a cutting pad will be more than enough.
