Pics of first detail job using new PC 7424

I've been detailing by hand for a long time but I decided to step up to the PC. Since the car is relatively new, I decided that I didn't really need to use a true polish. Here is a list of the products used, in the order that they were applied:

1. Washed car with Dawn liquid (I try not to do this very often).
2. Applied Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze with the PC, removed with microfiber towel.
3. Applied Meguiars #21 Synthetic Sealant with the PC, removed with PC using micro fiber bonnet over clean finishing pad.

I haven't decided if I want to put a 2nd coat of sealant or a coat of Meguiars #26 Hi-Tech Liquid wax. The PC was fairly easy to use and the car is definitely brighter and smoother than if I had used my hands.

the pc isn't really needed for applying any of those products, you should pick up a fine polish which will benefit even new cars such as menzerna intensive polish or optimum polish. Then apply #7 and #21 by hand instead of by hand to save product

I really got the PC for my wife's Toyota Highlander because it has some issues with the paint. Do you think a newer car should really use a true polish? The paint is in really good shape. I plan on using Meguiars #80 which I believe is a true polish designed for machine application on my wife's Highlander.

I usually do the glaze by hand

The polish is good to do it with PC though even though i take it off by hand.

The real reason for me to use a PC is for swirl/scratch removing after that I do mostly by hand.

If the paint on the highlander is dull then yes use a abrasive polish

Wax on etc..............

We haven't heard from the Zaino cult but it's just a matter of time! There's
as many kinds of wax as there are people to apply it. For me Zymol leaves
my G carshow ready all year long. At $360 a pound for Zymol concours it
better work to my satisfaction, but it's worth every cent because it's sooooo
shiney and protected.

Looks great...My dg has a ton of light scratches that I need to get out...I think the pc w/scratch remover might be the solution.

Grab some either Menzerna FPII or Menzerna 106FF. The 106 is more $$ but supposedly finsihes down extremely nice on the finicky Infiniti paint. It also is a step above the FPII in the way of shine. The guys on Autopia swear by it but I will be able to give you my feedback in the spring! I have Menzerna PG, IP and FPII. INHO, if your car is new and in good shape, IP may be a little more than you need. I would rather try FPII with a polishing pad first then move to a finishing pad with FPII again. Should give you a tremendous gloss and slick surface to seal!

The best combination I found on my 04 DG sedan was Zaino Z5Pro topped w/ Pinnacle Liquid Souveran. Long lasting sealant in the Zaino with the wet look of Souveran.

I was a true Zaino-ist (there you go Gary!) until I picked up my pc. You can get a deeper, wetter look w/ different products. What it boils down to, whether you use Zaino or anything else, prep work is key. If the prep sucks, anything put on top of it would just make it worse.
