need help with swirlmarks
Hi guys
I have had my car "professionally" polished 3 times now, and the car still has a lot of swirl marks when its parked in direct sunlight... When theres no direct sun, it looks great but if its sunny, its really terrible
My questions:
I was going to buy some stuff from autopia and do this myself. What would i need?
Also, is it safe to polish a car more than 3 times? (the clearcoat getting too thin?)
Any suggestions for removing the swirlmarks?
Thanks!!!
btw the car is black

They probably used a circular buffer, not orbital. Find someone with a random orbital and a car that looks good and pay them to polish the car for you or buy your own and get started detailing.
Good info here and at forums at detailcity.org, autopia, autogeek.
Good luck. I just ordered a PC, Edge 2000 pads, menzerna polish and sealant. Soon as weather permits gonna start.

i think they probably tried to cover up the swirl rather than try to remove it.
ie: skipped the vital polishing step.
get yourself some ScratchX and some elbow grease & wax, or invest in some
detailing goodies such as random orbital, polishes, how-to video's
(actually search autogeek on youtube), wax, etc.
