Clay Bar Treatment

I just bought my 03 sedan about a week ago. I have washed and waxed it. waxed 2 times with cleaner wax. and I find a haze or slight roughness to the paint. which i found cause the read bumper had been re painted and the car was not taped off. They did a good job sept the over spray. When the car is clean it looks beautiful, just feels rough to the touch. I bought a clay bar. and did a small area. And it seems to help out a huge bit.
But my ? is who all as done a clay bar treatment. and how did they like it.

I claybar twice a year. I use the zaino method. you can find their tips and tricks on their website. afterwards the paint is very slick. dry cotton towels just slide off the hood. it takes some time but the outcome is well worth it.

I had only played with that one spot. But i'm thinking bout doin the rest of the car or. having it high speed buffed. What are your thoughts on buffing.

But yeah im goin for that smooth butter like surface. i dont like it rough. and gritty. looks so damn good but not smooth.

Either pay a professional detailer or make sure you know what your doing. If you clay bar your car, your going to want to follow that immediatley by another wash and then a waxing and polishing. I just claybared my car on Saturday and it took me about 5 hours using zaino products (first time mixing the polishes and what not). I started at 1 and was not even done at 6, so make sure you leave adequate time if you want to do it right.

I do a clay bar at least two times a year. It's not hard at all. Do a full claybar and then wash and three coats of Zaino. It will come out like glass.

I clay my car every 3-6 months and follow it up with the Meguires 3 step, the paint feels and looks brand new after, i love it.

just do it in steps if you dont have the time to do it all in one day. do the hood, bumper, fenders one day, wax those then when you get a chance do the other parts.
