BLACK car driving me crazy (Updated with Pics)

I have this black 05 sedan and its driving me crazy with all the little fine scratches everywhere i see like a new one everyday. Worst place is my hood it just has so many little things looks like a dirty towel was wiped on my hood and left tones of little scratches nothing deep or serious

These swirls and scratches are driving me crazy maybe no one else can notice them but i sure do especially everyday when i see it in my garage under the light the hood looks awful.

I dont have money to buy a polisher and tones of products.. Which i have tried a bunch from local shops like the 3 step meguires and scratch X and all scratches and light swirls remain

So any suggestions without needing a polisher i have a tone of MF towels i wash my car weekly with.

Open to any suggestions that can be done by hand and not spending a tone of money on like 7 products to get them out

I was wondering if i ordered Zaino z5 and z2 polishes to fix this problem because its the only thing that would probably work best by hand and it seems tones of people on this forum love it.

here are some pics

I didnt even think it was even close to this bad until just 20 minutes ago when i took these pics

a good session with a porter cable should eliminate everything if wax doesnt work. also check the forum for good washing habits such as directional wiping and using 2 buckets (one soap and one water) to keep your wash mitt clean as you wipe down panels. once you incorporate good habits into your routine wash, keeping your car swirl free should be easy. ive had my car black coupe for over 2 years and no problems yet (thanks to g35lin for his washing expertise)

you should save up and spend 100 dollars on the porter cable...thats about the only thing thats going to remove them.

Only problem i have had with it is that i have seemed to see more holograms after using it.

^ hmm i have not had any hologram problems after using a porter cable. i wonder what causes them since those are pretty annoying too.

nismo g...are your pads clean?? that could be a cause for it. and Zaino doesnt remove swirls it actually fills them in.. the only way to get them removed is a polishing compound and a cutting pad for the pc

Welcome to the world of "problems of owning a dark colored car".

Having a black or TB car is a real pain in the a$$!!!

From your pics that you provided, you have swirl marks and 'spider webbing" in the clear coat. Its a lot of work to remove them by hand.
If your very particular with how your car appears, it would be a wise investment to get a PC. It will save you time and energy and your vehicle will look just perfect if its done in the right way.

Like abcquackyxyz mentioned, Zaino will just fill the swirls in temporarily due to the nature of the product. There are others such as Meguires NXT that will do the same...

The swirls need to be polished out using specific polishing compounds like Mezerna or Poorboys using the appropriate pads.

Here is a link from "picus112" to get you started https://g35driver.com/forums/care-detailing/141057-detailing-caring-your-ride.html

Have Fun

Has your car been repainted? Maybe it just not a great photo. But it looks like it has pits in the paint. I've had 4 very dark colored car. (3 black and one Copenhagen Blue, I said 3 the other day and just remembered a Black Grand Cherokee I owned in '95) so I know they are tough but I have never seen such a new car so scuffed up. Save your money on wax and pay to get it buffed! Looks like someone did a number on your car, those are not normal swirls. Looks like 600 grit sandpaper, used dry.

I don't think Zaino will help unless you use a lot (tons) of elbow grease. You need to have it buffed and polished, then come back with Z CS and Z2 (about $50 total) or if it still has small scratches try some Z5. I've never used it but have also never had a car so scratched up.

Good luck. I feel your pain!

Here's my fresh Zaino Job, I love this stuff.

Then it is original paint?

I don't think a cheap orbital buffer would work much differently and create really horrible results, unless is gets to bogged down due to a lack of power or the compound gets too dry. I have a semi-cheapy which has always worked well for me. I'm no expert with buffers, but I do know you need to keep them spinning at a constant speed. If they are spinning you won't get left to right scratches. Those scratches (not swirl marks) where not likely made from a buffer unless someone simply dragged it from side to side when it was turned off. The swirk marks were probably made by hand as well. I'd recommend hiring a professional, someone you know if good from seeing there results and seeing highend cars parked in there lot. If you see Ferrari's you've found the right shop.
