Wash, clay bar, then wax once a month. It's black, so I deal with the swirlies.

How well does the Mother's work?? I dried my car with a Chamois the last 2 times and I think it is putting little scratches in my paint. I decided to just dry with Microfiber mits now.

Also, I see a stage 1 and stage 2 with the Mother's. Which do you use? What's the diff?? Thanks.

I definitely wouldn't use a sponge for washing your car. With a sponge's pourous material, it will hold dirt and you'll be pushing that dirt over your car's paint causing swirl marks. I personally would recommend using a 100% sheepskin or microfiber mitt along with two buckets.

Sorry I use fresh (new) sponges every wash.

Even if you use new sponges though, all the dirt on your car will get trapped in that sponge and you'll be pushing that dirt all over your car. The reason why people recommend sheepskin or microfiber mitts is because they release the dirt alot better. That's also why using two buckets is recommended as well. I would really consider not using sponges anymore.

Well put Shane, I second your recommendation.

On top of that, I'd recommend using a Grit Guard insert on your second wash bucket w/o the suds, sheet rinsing prior to drying and Waffle Weave drying towels first blot drying, then wiping the remaining water.

If anyone any needs any quality wash products please do not hesitate to contact me.

Good tip for beginners is to buy premium cotton towels. and if posible dry the car with a gas or electric blower to get as much water off the car as possible before using the towels to finish up.
