Caring For: Soft Top Convertables?
First off, I didn't know if this belonged in the 'Other Cars' or this forum, since it doesn't involve the G.
Anyway, I bought a '02 MR2 about a year ago for my daily driver. It was babied and garaged kept by the previous owner and only had 22,000 miles on it. Its no longer garaged and sees a lot of different weather (and the crazy Texas temp. fluxes). The soft top is black, and its looking a little faded and nasty. Feeling bad for the poor neglected thing I decided I'll clean her up this week.
I'm afraid to put something on the vinyl top because I'm scared it might leave discoloration or blotchiness... so I'm seeing if anyone here knows what works and what doesn't. Maybe someone has some experience with this or knows a buddy thats had to do it.
TIA!
