Get this **** off my car!!!

i have no idea what it is, it was a bunch of glumps of something sticky on my hood. When the sun heated it up it would get sticky and you could pull some of it off. now what it left behind is white and hard. i have tried using goo gone and that didnt work. any suggestions? i will take pics later when i get home. i am thinking about brinigng it to a detailer to pay to get it off

+1 If it's tree sap you should wash and clay your car. That stuff makes the G look like it has measles!

Try Tar/Bug removal liquid. I have used a Turtle Wax's Bug and Tar remover countless number of times on tree sap and it has worked great. Just dab a little on the affected area, let it rest for a few seconds and carefully wipe clean with a MF. good luck, the product i have came in a metal can BTW.
