Wax Residue
Wax Residue
Does anyone know how to take off the wax residue from the plastic side mirror cover plate? Everytime I wax the car I seem to get a little wax on the plastic cover and can't seem to get it off.
Re: Wax Residue
you can also use a VERY soft eraser. not the kind on the end of a pencil but the white rectangular kind that a draftsman would use to erase a mylar drawing. just rub GENTLY and the wax comes off. you can get these at an art supply store or office depot.
i've also heard that peanut butter works as well (no joke). never ried it but i like the eraser way better. less mess.

Re: Wax Residue
I think what you are referring to is known as a "vinyl eraser" (it's been a few years since I've used one, so my memory is kind of off) I used to use those all the time before I started doing my graphics on a computer
