Removing Bird Turd

I was parked outside all day today when I noy=ticed that there was a huge splat of bird turd on the roof my my 07 OB G35. It was also a pretty warm day. So after I got home, I hand washed the car. As I was drying the car, I noticed that there was an impression still on the spot where the bird turd had landed. I waxed that portion of the roof and still, the impression/stain was still there. What do you guys think, clay bar? bug and tar remover?? wash it again??

Whoa man, sorry for the bad news.

As I understand it, that avian poop is acidic and can actually etch the paint if left on long enough, and the heat might have actually helped the etching process!

I am not sure how to go about fixing it but I thought I'd comment on what I heard about the acid in bird droppings, maybe that'll help when figuring out how best to handle the mark in the paint. Like I said, sorry for the bad news and wishing you good luck.

If you know someone with a Porter Cable (or similar) RO buffer, it should buff out pretty easily. A detailer could take care of it in a few minutes. Good luck.
