Clear Bra

Thinking of getting the front end pieces and doing the install myself. Anybody have experience with this? Easy, hard, dont even try?

I understand that it's tricky to get everything lined up and remove bubbles due to the fact that the kit requires some careful stretching. I had mine installed by a 3M certified installer.

The hood and mirrors may not be that difficult if you're handy, but after watching my install there is no way that I would have been able to do the lower bumper area, lots of angles and curves there.

Put it this way ... EDL did mine and they are do a lot of exotics. It took two guys about 4 hours (their first time with the 2007 G35 pattern). Let the pros do it. If they mess up the pieces, they eat it!

Details on my install here:

Thanks. Good input. I'll check into getting the pros to do just the hood, upper and lower bumpers. Great looking G though, TerryCS.

I'm in the South Bay area of California. Any recommendations on who can do the work?

Bhane (EDL) can be reached at 310.613.3978. They are mobile so he can go to your location.

I had my 3M installed by a professional.
It is not as easy to install as you might think.
He ruined the piece on my hood and had to cut another.
There are many curves on this car and that's the hardest part.
I paid $600 total, and also had my headlights covered with 22 mil ($25 ea.)

I did the hood and mirrors on my own ( with previous experience doing same parts on my old Maxima). It isn't easy and I would NOT do the bumper on my own. It just depends if you are comfortable with DIY and take the time to do it CAREFULLY. The place I ordered mine from came with a good instructional DVD, 2 good squirt bottles, squeegee tools and all pieces were pre-cut for about $200. It took about 2 hours for hood, mirrors and I made some strips from leftovers for all door edges.
