ZAINO LEATHER IN A BOTTLE

I personally think this stuff is a sham....I spent the better part of an hour conditioning my leather in my G and when it dried it looked and felt the same..no softer, no nothing...except it smelled really good...**** If i just wanted the smell I would have bought some air-freshner.

Oh, I wonder, maybe that is something then, I always hate how some products make the leather "shiny", almost like you used ArmorAll or something, how much is the stuff?

yeah the zaino leather isn't that great either. So far I'm going to eliminate the tire gloss and leather stuff from zaino.

I have a funny feeling that Zaino has one thing he's good at, selling ice to Eskimos, I asked in my previous reply about how much it cost, but I don't think I'm interested, that stuff is probably snake oil!

Re: ZAINO LEATHER IN A BOTTLE

I actually like the Zaino leather product as well as the tire dressing. The leather cleaner really got my willow interior spotless, and the leather in a bottle has a great smell to it. I don't know if offers much protection, but my car has that new car smell again.

As far as the tire dressing goes, I prefer it for everyday driving conditions. I wouldn't use it for a car show, but every other product I've ever tried gets all over the place and needs to be re-applied several times a week. The Zaino tire dressing has kept my tires looking clean and black for over 3 weeks now.

Is the tire dressing shiny or "matte" looking?

The Zaino Tire dressing looks more like satin.

You need to use Griots Garage leather cleaner... I used it this weekend and it works great...

Re: ZAINO LEATHER IN A BOTTLE

Does anyone else have any feedback on the Zaino leather cleaner/conditioner?

Coupedit03, what exactly were you expecting from the Zaino leather conditioner? Did you want an "amorall shine" or just for the leather to feel softer or what?

I am interested in the Zaino leather products also as I have been more than pleased with their car polish. Please let me hear some more of what you want in a leather cleaner/conditioner.

Re: ZAINO LEATHER IN A BOTTLE

Well I didnt try the leather cleaner because I didnt think my leather was dirty (its black so if it was I couldnt tell) but im pretty meticulous about what goes on inside my car so I doubt it was dirty...however from the leather conditioner I wasnt expecting an armor all shine at all...I hate that greasy feeling as do others....but I was at least expecting something to remain after I spent an hour puttin the **** on..The only thig I got was the good smell (which I like alot) but besides that the leather felt the same, and looked the same..no softer no nothing. Im not impressed with this product at all. AND i wonder as to why this company only sells of their website..I mean if its such a good product then why dont they market it via distributors..maybe cuz they tried and it didnt meet the dist. standards or what? I dont know...I havent tried any of their exterior products but Ive heard good things about them though. As I did about the leather conditioner too but that turned out to be crap.

Good point!! I have tried so many "miracle" car care products over the years, that were all hype and no performance, that I am leary of buying sometimes! One exception I just tried today was the Stoner Invisible Glass, damn, that stuff is great!!

Re: ZAINO LEATHER IN A BOTTLE

I love that stuff, it is not a sham unless you think the only good stuff makes your seats look like plastic. Zaino Leather is not supposed to make it look shiny, it replenishes the natural oils and has the best smell on the market. I tried the others like Lexol and Maguires and I threw them out once I got Zaino.

Some people, or should I say most people just don’t leave a product is good because we are conditioned to want to see drastic change. I

n many cases drastic change is just cover up. Just like some people use Armor All and think if its not ultra shiny, its not good. Some products really do a good job, while others are just marketed very well.

You need to break out of that physiological prison. Let me give you a real example. During the 50s vacuum cleaners were sold door to door. The louder they were, the more powerful people though they were, so the more they paid. Sometime in the 70s, Hoover Vacuums did some research and found out that the biggest complaint was the noise. So they invented an ultra quiet and ultra powerful vacuumed. They thought it would kill their competition but instead it was a total failure. Why? Because no matter what the data showed, the general public was conditioned to think if it didn’t make a lot of noise, it wasn’t picking up dirt. So they gave up on quiet vacuums and now everywhere you look the louder they are the more they charge. Its all marketing.

So I think Zaino is the same way, no it will not give you that shiny leather look, but personally I don’t want the. Real high end leather products are not that shiny, its usually the fake stuff called Pleather, Vinyl, or Naugahyde....the stuff you see on a booth at a roadside diner.

Re: ZAINO LEATHER IN A BOTTLE

ucanbyteme,
If you would have read my post then you would have saw that I stated i didnt want a shiny/armor all look. I hate that greasiness. BUT, I was expecting my leather to be softer and more supple. Plain as Day!
