cleaning my rims..need help

so i have some challenges on my G and...i have yet to clean them...its been raining a lot recently..so ive been drying off the rims with a MF towel...i was wondering if it was ok to use z6 (zaino) ...on the lip of the rims...also i know soap and water is good..but is MF (microfiber) the right material to use when cleaning rims?

I have had great success with Z6 on my wheels. Just be sure to still follow the directions of Z6 and wipe until dry or there will be streaks. Its just harder to do on wheels because of all the odd surface areas. MF definitely the best material to do anything in my mind, including rims.

no, it is not okay to just wipe them down after it rains, that will leading to scratches on the anodized lip which can't be refinished. Quick detailers are meant to remove light dusting, not any significant amount of dirt etc from rain. Either wash them with a conventional wash after it rains, or don't touch them until you have time to do a regular wash.

Have you applied any wax or wheel sealant on your rims?
It will help out with the "dirt" issue. Cleaning will be much easier....

I treat all my wheels with Poorboy's Wheel Sealant. It cuts down the time spent on them dramatically and allows me to clean with simple soap and water rather than any harsh chemicals that can potentially oxidize your finished lip. Wheel Wax is also another similar product, but feel Wheel Sealant is more durable and easy to work with.

Poorboy's Wheel Sealant is argued amongst detailers to be the superior wheel protectant in durability, results and ease of use. Considering a jar typically lasts a couple of years, for the $3 difference it is worth it to me. Wheel Wax will definitely get the job done by protecting your wheels and allows you to clean them with minimal effort. I wouldn't stock both products if that wasn't the case. However, if you put both of them in front of me and said take one of the two, I would pick Wheel Sealant without hesitation.

Wheelwax works fantastic for me. I have used it for a couple of years and I would reccommend it to anybody
I have asked friends that have used both and they say they perform equally well. So I would opt for whichever one is easier for you to get.

But diefinitely apply one of those products, it does help keep wheel cleaning easy.
