Money on detailing supplie's

I was just wondering of how much you people with G35's have spend on detailing supplie for your G35 and/or other cars.

Me, I have spent almost up to 2 g's on detailing stuff. From chemicals to polisher

I'm somewhere in the $500 range for everything I would guess. UDM, chemicals, and supplies.

When I first started detailing before Detailed Image, I invested about $900 then soon after picked up a rotary which brought the total closer to $1200. I have a few customers that have spent more than that on just a single jar of wax!

Regardless how much is spent on products, it's more important to learn about the proper process and techniques than to keep putting money into new products. Once you understand the process and your techniques are refined, it's very fun to try new products. I think most detailers eventually settle into their "favorites" but I still find it enjoyable trying new products out.

I'm about $400-500 in just since getting my G in July...and happy to spend it every time I walk up to my car. Honestly I would assume that misapplication is where a lot of it goes in using too much, too often, and at the wrong times. I'm no detailer, I just like having my car sparkle. Like George said though, I always like trying somethign a little new as well so that cost is constantly increasing.

Well put! You can spend every penny you have on products but if you don't know how to use them they're useless.

I've been detailing my car for many years. So, I'm many many thousands of dollars into it. A few things I've spent my money on . . .

Porter Cable R/O polisher $100
Edge 2000 6" flat pad kit $100
Edge 2000 6" wave pad kit $100
Zymol Pebble Beach Sampler Kit $180
Zymol Concours $120
Wet/dry vac $100
Swissvax Saphir Wax $130
Pinnacle Souveran Wax $80
Chemical Guy's Pete's 53 Wax $40
Menzerna PO85RD Final Polish $50

I've probably got at least $200 in microfiber towels. That's just the tip of the iceberg too.

Glad to hear that superchargedg. We are in the process of becoming a Flex distributor as we speak. I am looking forward to carrying this line of buffers.

George i sent you back a pm of were i bought it and for how much. The flex has way more then enough power to handle about 90% off what a rotary can do,the pc/udm have no chance against the flex.I can do my entire car in less then half the time it took with a pc/udm and get much better results.

I used to have a hard time getting the menzerna lineup to properly break down with a pc/udm.With the flex it breaks down perfectly and brings back a shine and clarity that the pc/udm cant touch.

Oh and btw when people see what this machine can do the pc/udm will be a thing of the past.Good luck george cause you better get a lot of them.
