Any thoughts on this 3m performance wax?

I actually saw it in Popular Science mag and looked it up.

Still have to apply it like a wax, w on / w off but they say it lasts longer.

sounds like any other synthetic sealant on the market, but without the long term testing results of other products that have been around for a while. I don't see the point in using it when there are already proven sealants that last "months" such as Megs #21, Zaino, Duragloss, Klasse etc.

I could. The article said it should last at least 10 car washes. If I wash ave 1/week, then that's only 2.5 months. Not terribly great it seems as compared to the others redlude97 posted.

I'm not that experienced with wax that much so I'm not a great canidate for a review.

I've read a review on Autopia that says it's a pretty decent wax for an OTC product. Since the only wax I have now is a Meguire's cleaner wax, I might pick up a bottle and see how it works.

Anyone try their spray on quick wax?

Eh, I could if I could find it local. I went to 3 Napas so far and nada. The one by Ikea is the largest one in the area and they didn't have it. There's a carquest in Burien that I might try. Just looking for OTC stuff.

You'll find Aquawax most at carquest. If you want to try 3m then try it. See how you like it.

DG aquawax, 111, and 105 are all well liked on autopia.org. DG 105 seems to have the best longevity, and when combined with Duragloss PBA (Polish Bonding Agent) 601 applied first, is arguably as long lasting as zaino.

Okay, I grabbed some 111, aquawax and 601. Prices were $10.xx, $9.xx and $9.xx each. About $1 more than the website.

Carquest in the Southcenter area had all their products (it's also the warehouse so they always have a good supply).

3M Wax........?

I gotta pass, don't believe anything could work better than the paste wax
I've been using for the last four years.........Zymol Concourse. Liquids never
last longer than a quality paste wax!

Looks great. What do you use to apply the wax?

I use the microfiber pads to apply the wax and then just wipe if off by hand with a microfiber towel.
