I think he's right, I've never been able to get a scratch out of glass, had one on the windshield of my last car, and nothing would polish it out!

glass is hard as well.... glass. A pro with a glass specific polisher may be able to do it, but it won't be cheap either way, and may ruin the clarity of the glass and make it distorted

Glass is not plastic.

It might work depending on the scratch depth. Let a pro attemp it if you're so inclined. I would be prepared to replace the glass though.

How deep is the scratch(s) if your fingernail catches its probably too deep to remove. Polishing glass to remove light surface marring is possible, but there is a very real risk of optical distortion, which may only be seen when the sun or headlights 'hit' at a certain angle.

I work with glass everyday and your not gonna get a scratch out,if your gonna retint your widow you need to replace it with a new one and the next time you pull tint off you need a spray bottle with hot soapy water alot of razor blades and a ton of patiance

^ just razor blade the edge on a hot day with soapy water and u should be able to pull the tint off without ripping it (personal experience after untinting my car 3 times -___-)

Glass repair guys maybe able to fix it.. go to your local car dealer and ask one of the advisors for a business card to repair glass they'll usually just give you their mobile guy.

Not likely. As I said before it doesn't have the same properties as plastic.

IMHO, you'll need to replace the glass .

I scratched mine while trying to prep it for tint (used the wrong type of greenie weenie). After re tinting it, you can hardly tell there are any scratches at all. Just re tint your car.
