i use meguiars products so the smooth surface clay kit is good. it pretty much comes with everything and personally i like the kit better than the mothers kit. there are others out there but as you can probably tell i stick with the meguiars products, although i have been experimenting with other washes besides meguiars. just make sure you have enough lube on the surface and you should be fine.

oh and i usually cut my clay bars in half or 1/4 so if i drop it i didnt lose a whole piece of clay just 1/2 or 1/4 of a piece. i go through clay pretty quick because after i clay the paint that piece i used i will dedicate it to wheel clay only and use a new piece of clay on the paint next time. it cost more but not by much if you cut your clay bars in half.

How are we hijacking the thread? Our conversation has been VERY on topic, discussing different detailing supplies...sheesh

Wow, your username sure does fit...well, actually.

I'm pretty sure the idea behind the thread was to see what others are using and like to use. Archie and I's conversation just so happenned to further the conversation, getting in depth with what he uses and likes to use. Seriously dude, quit trying to play e-thug and calm down.

i would like to get one of those carts. where would i pick one up at for a reasonable price? also how is the durability on it as i have had a couple others that i have ended up just selling because they could not take a beating. i was thinking about actually ordering a cart from the science lab catalog but if this one is sturdy and for cheaper than 250 dollars then i know what i am getting.

Yeah, I've wanted one for a while, I need to just see what I can buy off the net or I'll just ned up making a wooden one b/c $250 for a cart is a bit ridiculous.

yes, the new red ones do. even has a built-in measuring cup for your
shampoo if you don't have a pump.
