The door handle has a little whole thingy so that you can fit your fingers when you open the door. Does anyone else have a lot of scratches in that area? It's very noticeable on black cars. Not sure if it's just me.

It's common on cars with this type of handle. Mostly the scratches come form wearing rings. Only way to avoid it to apply a clear bra inside, or grab with finger tips.

Fingernails do the damage. Most people don't put their hand in far enough for rings to do damage to the cup area.
Scratch-x to correct the problem and 3m to avoid it in the future ... Or you could bite your nails!

Howd you paint that? I have seen carbon fiber inserts, but think a flat black would be nice. I have black interior, so it would go nicely in the door. Anyone done this? Maybe i should start a thread. SORRY OP!

Scratch-x can be found in any auto dept, including Wal-Mart.
Any paint protection film would do but if you want the 3m brand, use their website to locate an installer in your area. My installer got $25 to do the door handle cups.
You can also buy the material online if you wanna give it a go yourself.

Fiancee scratched it up on the passenger side, so I'll get some Scratch-X today! My side isn't scratched because I keep my fingernails cut...

I would like to find those in carbon fiber for my car... Mine are all scratched up.. As for the outside of the door handle area. I feel that is fingernail scratches. MOST of the car I detail that have that, is easily removed with a cleaner wax.
