(Thank you for the info. I didn't know such a thing (rinseless/waterless wash) exist. My life saver!! )

By the way, once you wash the car with ONR/QEW, can you still polish the paint without additional rinse of the car? (Such as IP, FF106 any kind of polish)

I plan to polish my wife's car. (I can see bunch of swirl mark.)
No rinse. Just drying. You can go right to polishing after that.

Is there a limit to how dirty a car can be and still be able to use this method?

Is it a townhome or condo developement you live in? I live in a gated community, all single family homes, and we have nothing in our HOA rules about car washing. You're not permitted to "rebuild" a car in your driveway, but we don't have anything about the garage usage.

HOA's are a good thing in many instances ShanesG!

The dirtier the car the more chance you have at marring the surface, but if you only other option is a car wash, its still the lesser of 2 evils IMO. I usually add more product when its dirtier and also use a pre rinse with ONR in a 1 gallon chemical sprayer. Makes a little bit more of a mess but I haven't had any issues really. You've seen my car, over 50% of my washes are rinseless washes, and I've never completely polished the car, its never needed it. I spot buff panels with some marring but thats it.

Contact the board and find out what they mean by "no washing." If it means no full out, spraying down the neighborhood washing... fine. But they created that rule for a reason. Find out what it is and let us know, we'll try to find a way around it. Maybe get it to just "no washing except on saturdays" or something like that to at least allow you to CARE FOR YOUR CAR. I hate Neighborhood ****'s. Love true HOA's, but hate *****.

Thanks.

Let me get this straight. From the article posted. He only uses the optimium no rinse cw and nothing else. And he's doing this in his garage.

Once he sprays the solution on the car, he puts the mf mit into the bucket and wrings it out. Washes the car as normal. Then once done, wipes the car dry as normal?

Sounds great and should actually save time by not having to rinse. I guess you have to make sure you don't do it in the sun or it will dry out?

Pretty much, but you wash and dry it a panel at a time. I split the car into 7 sections and wash each panel twice with a clean mitt/solution before drying with an initial pre rinse. Not sure if it saves time but I'm pretty **** about it. You also don't wring out the mitt, you just kinda squeze it slightly so it doesn't drop excessively

According to the board, car wash is prohibited due to "water run off" issue.
Then, when it rains, how the rain will run off?

Do you think I can find a way around it?

+1 on ONR. I was skeptical at first too, but you have to see it yourself. Maybe it's just in my head, but I think I got better results with ONR than the regular NXT wash. I've also used it in the sun and it works fine because you work on one panel at a time, drying it before you move on to the next panel.
Just like this:

After go through several forums, I just ordered ONR & DP 4-in-1.
It seems these two products are fairly good, according to several people's opinion.

I don't know how the association will force about this stupid car wash policy.
I hope they can allow washing car at least one day of the week. Until then, I will stick with rinseless car wash.

Thanks everybody . I got very valuable information.
