Is it necessary to polish after claybar

Is it necessary to polish after claybar

As the title says....or can I just use a sealant then wax.

If yer, what are the benfits of polishing after cb.

The benefits would be the same as if you polished at any time. Clarbars remove contaminents. It's not really a polisher. So if you have scratches or marring before claybaring, it will be there after.

Like Jeff said...they are two very different processes.

If you are looking to get rid of contaminants(overspray, etc) then claybar is your choice. But if you have marring, swirls, etc, then polishing is the only option you have.

Do you have to polish immediately after clay barring, or is it ok to clay bar and then polish the next day? Or will there be a risk of contaminants collecting on the car in that short amount of time?

you'll be fine, but you should reclean the car before polishing. A wipedown with a QD if the car wasn't driven should be adequate

Cool thanks for the info Redlude. I'm planning on doing a full detail this Sat but it would definitely help me on my limited time budget to get the claying done the night before.
