Hi,
I was browsing ebaymotors today and I saw a g35 with a custom gucci interior. I'd only heard of interiors like this on shows like cribs where they will have custom louis vuitton leather and what not.

Anyways, I kind of liked this design rather than the regular (maybe not that print and color exactly, but the idea) solid color and I was wondering if anyone else had done something like this in their car and how they liked it? Knowing the price of the job would be great and pictures if you've had it done would be even better.

I think that's a nice setup...I don't care for blue, personally, but I think on a black or gray car it would look sweet with a seude insert like that....

 

If anyone cares I was quoted $1500 for a job like the one in the ebay link, louis vuitton would be a little more. They can do just about everything too, steering wheels, head rests, etc.

hey, that looks pretty nice. i had a similar thing done in my prelude but in black and grey. really spiced up the interior. i'd stay away from those designer prints though. just a little too much, in my opinion.

do u guys know if they use real designer leather or just etched the logos on themselves...
P.Diddy and all those Cribs personalities actually bought the genuine leather from factories to install in their cars...

 

Its usually not leather, its a fabric. Who knows for sure if its going to be the genuine thing. I'm sure the people who can afford the real thing, make sure they are getting the real thing.

You can get the custom leather seats, but I've heard those are really expensive with LV, gucci, etc.(I heard $10,000+, but that was just on a board), just the fabric for the headliner is not that much though (again I was quoted $1500).

Interestingly enough a lot of the people on low rider message boards are throughly experienced with doing the upholstery in their car with name brand fabrics. It seems (from what I read) that the general consensus on them was the quality was ok, but not all it cracked up to be. Although they weren't that impressed with the quality of fabric from gucci, burberry, or LV, it didn't stop them from doing their car in it. I kind of like the unique look, don't know if I'd ever get it done though.

As for authenticity, I'm also at a lose. With the handbags, etc., you can normally tell by the placement of logos, etc., but the dead give away is the stiching, which in this case doesn't apply. I'd say you just have to buy from storefront, somewhere that has a reputation rather than from a stand in the middle of the mall. Also, handbags, etc., come with authencity cards, I am assuming nothing exists for the fabric.
