question regarding street tar on paint

Hello all, I was just wondering whats the best solution to getting tar off the paint. I got a few spots on my car and I want to get rid of it. I hate driving on NYC streets. Thanks for the help

they sell stuff that gets it off of there, you spray it on and rub it in it removes bug juice, and tar and stuff i think. i used it on my car worked pretty well

I usually turn to Stoner Tarminator before a wash. Beyond that if that doesn't get it off entirely, I use a clay bar on the effected areas.

you can also try body solvent from meguiars. it works pretty well as does their bug and tar remover.

wd40 works. i usually spray wd40 on a paper towel, and then just wipe right off.

i have heard that peanut butter also works, but have not tried it.

use prepsol, they sell it at albert kemperle

its called wax and grease remover that is the right thing to use hands down.

WD40 is good, just be sure to rewax. I like Varsol from ExxonMobil, you can find it at better parts stores by the gallon. Cleans any kind of oil based stain. Again, rewax when done.
